Meet Tanya N. Shepherd

I believe meaningful healing begins when individuals feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I bring over 9 years of mental health counseling experience, along with more than 22 years as a school psychologist, to support individuals navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm. My years in education have given me a deep understanding of how emotional wellbeing shapes every part of a person's life, work, relationships, health, and overall functioning. Witnessing the impact of stress and unaddressed emotional pain is what led me to pursue a career in mental health counseling.

Today, I primarily partner with adults seeking clarity, steadiness, and meaningful change. My approach honors the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, within the context of culture, identity, and lived experience. Together, we explore patterns, navigate challenges, and build practical strategies that support resilience and emotional growth.
